Spongebob Squarepants has become an icon of the small screen, and now he is heading to the big screen for a new film.
Spongebob Squarepants: Sponge Out Of Water 3D will see this popular character return for his second film, and he features in this teaser poster.
Paul Tibbitt is in the director's chair for the movie, in what will be his feature film debut.
However, Tibbitt is not stranger to the world of Spongebob Squarepants, having directed twelve episodes of the television series.
Tom Kenny will voice the character of Spongebob, while Antonio Banderas, Clancy Brown, and Bill Fagerbakke are also on board.
Filming is currently underway on the film, and it will be released in February 2015.
