Bong Joon-ho has hinted that we may see an uncut version of Snowpiercer hit the big screen.
Joon-ho will make his English speaking directorial debut with Snowpiercer - which promises to be an intriguing sci-fi movie.
Harvey Weinstein had plans to cut twenty minutes out of the film, but it seems like those plans have now been abandoned; much to the delight of the director.
Speaking to The Playlist the director said: "I stayed in New York for two weeks before coming here to Mar del Plata, mostly because of this matter, and the good news is that after all the speculation and comments about that 20-minute cut, and considering the original version that was released in Korea and France also will be released in Japan and Hong Kong, we have been talking a lot about keeping the original cut for the US release, so what I can say is... have faith."
Snowpiercer is set in the future and follows a group of humans struggling to survive on a train that travels around the plant.
Earth has been plunged into a new ice age and living on the train is the only way they can survive. But revolution is brewing as many of the train's inhabitants are unhappy with the class system that has developed.
Chris Evans leads an all star cast as John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell and Octavia Spencer are all on board.
Snowpiercer is yet to receive a UK release date.
