Sicario is another of the autumn movies that I cannot wait to see as Emily Blunt returns to the big screen for the new thriller.

The movie sees Blunt take on the role of an FBI agent who is brought into the war on drugs between the U.S. and Mexican boarder - it really is set to be an action packed ride and I cannot wait to see the actress in action.

Sicario marks the return of Denis Villeneuve to the director's chair - he brought us the fantastically tense Prisoners back in 2013 - and this will mark the first the that the filmmaker has teamed up with Blunt.
However, it is not all about Blunt as Villeneuve has brought together a terrific cast, including Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Toro, Victor Garber and Jon Bernthal.
In Mexico, SICARIO means hitman. In the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, an idealistic FBI agent (Blunt) is enlisted by an elite government task force official (Brolin) to aid in the escalating war against drugs.
Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past (Del Toro), the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.
Sicario was another movie that whipped up a frenzy in Cannes is also one of the early movies to be surrounded in Oscar whispers. There are a whole host of films that are already being tipped to be in the running at the Academy Awards next year - it really is going to be an interesting race to see who bangs those important nominations.
Sicario is released 8th October.
