Shia LaBeouf was hospitalised after suffering an injury on the set of his latest movie.
LaBeouf was injured while filming scenes for his new project 'American Honey' and required medical attention after a planned stunt went wrong.
A representative explained: "Shia LaBeouf sustained minimal injuries ... on the set of his current film movie 'American Honey'.
"As protocol, production sought out medical attention and Shia received stitches on his hand and for a laceration on his head."
The actor is set to resume filming today (25.06.15) for the new movie, which tells the story of a young girl who falls into the hard-partying lifestyle of a magazine's sales team.
Meanwhile, it was reported recently Shia had enrolled in acting school.
Despite working steadily since appearing on the Disney Channel when he was 10, the actor is apparently set to attend California Institute of the Arts in Valencia later this year.
A source close to the 'Transformers' star said: "He's been hanging around campus."
Another friend said: "He thinks this will expand his acting abilities."
In 2007, Shia admitted he would love to go to university to study Psychology to help him "be a better actor".
He said at the time: "When I get a chance, I'm going to go, but even Yale says, 'You got opportunities right now, college doesn't make too much sense.
"There's something about studying body language and non-spoken emotion - I know the innate response. But to really study it like a science would be fun."
