Shia LaBeouf has landed a role in new comedy Rock the Kasbah.
LaBeouf will join an all star cast as Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Danny McBride and Zooey Deschanel are already on board.
Rock the Kasbah will see Barry Levinson return to the director's chair, while Mitch Glazer has penned the screenplay.
Murray is set to stat as a past-it music manager who travels to Afghanistan on a tour with his only client.
Following a series of unfortunate events, Murray ends up abandoned, with no money and no passport, but experiences a change in fortune as he comes across a young local girl with an incredible singing voice who he decides to enter into the Afghani version of 'The X Factor'.
Filming is set to begin in June although details of LaBeouf's character are so far yet to be released.
LaBeouf is set to return to the big screen in Nymphomaniac: Volume I and Volume II this February.
He has also completed work on Fury with Brad Pitt and Logan Lerman.
