Shailene Woodley says she is excited to start work on the sequel to The Amazing Spider Man.
The actress is set to take on the role of Mary Jane Watson in the sequel which will see Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone reprise their roles of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy.
And Woodley reveals that she is excited to work with the actors and director Marc Webb.
Speaking to MTV the actress said: "I think Marc Webb is amazing. I'm so stoked to work with Andrew and Emma. They're the best of the best."
"Spider-Man's always been my favourite superhero since I was a little girl," she said.
"I always thought there was something special about flying. When I watched the previous Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield, he made me feel invincible. I also cried when Uncle Ben died. I knew it was coming, and I still cried!"
The Spectacular Now and White Bird in a Blizzard are two of the projects that the actress will be appearing in this year while Divergent is in the pipeline.
Filming on The Amazing Spider Man 2 is about to get underway and it is expected to hit the big screen next year.
