Seth Rogen is set to reunite with Joseph Gordon-Levitt for a brand new comedy.
Rogen and Gordon-Levitt starred together for the first time in 50/50 and now they are set to work together again on a Christmas comedy.
Jonathan Levine, who was in the director's chair for 50/50. will return to helm this latest comedy project. Filming is set to get underway this summer.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will tell the story of three childhood friends who reunite in New York for their annual tradition of going out on Christmas Eve.
Gordon-Levitt and Rogen will play two of the friends, while the third lead role is yet to be cast.
50/50 was released back in 2011 and was a comedy/drama about one man's battle with cancer. The film was met well by the critics, and went on to enjoy box office success.
Rogen will be back on the big screen this year as he has already completed work on Bad Neighbours and The Interview. He has also lent his voice to Kung Fu Panda 3.
As for Levitt, he will be one of the new faces on the cast list for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and has voiced a characters in animation film The Wind Rises.
The new Christmas movie, which has been written by Levine, sparked interest from several studios, including Sony, Universal and Paramount, before Sony emerged as the winner on Monday (10.02.14).
