Scarlett Johansson has a very busy and varied 2014 ahead of her, and one of the films that we are going to be seeing her in is Lucy.
The movie marks the return of Luc Besson to the director’s chair as the actress and filmmaker team up for the first time: Besson has also written and produced the film.
Lucy is a second sci-fi film for Johansson this year, as she stars alongside Morgan Freeman, Choi Min-sik and Amr Waked.
The first image from the film was released by Entertainment Weekly, and first footage from the film has been whipping up quite a lot of excitement from the critics.
Johansson is set to take on the role of a woman who is working as a drug mule. When a drug gets into her system, she develops telekinesis and clairvoyance skills as well as the ability to fight and handle pain.
Johansson returned to the big screen this weekend as she reprised the role of Black Widow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She is also set to reprise that role as she begins work on Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Lucy is set to hit the big screen on 22nd August.
