Spike Jonze thinks Scarlett Johansson is a good actress because she is happy to display her emotions, however uncomfortable.
The 29-year-old actress has been praised by 'Her' director Spike Jonze for bringing so much life and character to the role of the computer which falls in love with a human, which she voices.
He said: "Scarlett is not afraid of revealing her pain and emotions. She's attractive, but also smart as hell. She's in some renaissance age, where she is pushing herself to new places. She wants to go deeper and is taking risks."
For her part, Scarlett found it quite easy to get into her role, and sympathised with the way the computer felt.
She added to People magazine: "I can relate to her enthusiasm, her curiosity and her tenderness, those are all feelings that come from my heart too."
One part of the movie that she isn't so anxious for her parents to see is where she has cybersex with her co-star Joaquin Phoenix, even though she is never seen in person.
She admitted: "To think my dad is going to watch is awful."
