Scarlett Johansson has described Black Widow as more of a 'mediator' in Captain America: Civil War.
Johansson is set to return for her second Captain America movie - we saw her in The Winter Soldier last year - and while early promo art had her on Team Iron Man, it looks like it could be a little more complicated than that.
The actress reveals that Black Widow is someone who can see both sides of the argument.
Speaking to EW, Johansson said: "You know, I think she understands where everyone is coming from. And none of it really matters to her, you know? There's a bigger problem at hand and she's, I think, strangely, kind of the mediator.Which is not exactly how you would imagine her to be.
"But I think she really does see both sides of the coin and I think her strength is that she's not personally involved."
Civil War will be the first time that we have seen this character on the big screen since Avengers: Age of Ultron and this will be her fourth Marvel film with both Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr.
While Black Widow has become a regular feature of the Marvel movies - we have seen her in Iron Man 2, Avengers Assemble, Captain America: The Winter Solider, and Avengers: Age of Ultron - no solo movie appears to be on the horizon.
Civil War is set to be just one of the movies that we sees Johansson star in next year as she has also completed work on The Jungle Book and Hail, Caesar!
She is currently lending her voice to animation film Sing, alongside Matthew McConaughey, Nick Offerman, and Reese Witherspoon.
Captain America: Civil War is released 29th April 2016.
