Scarlett Johansson has described The Avengers: Age of Ultron as 'dark' and 'dry'.
Johansson is set to reprise the role of Black Widow in the second Avengers film, which will be hitting the big screen in the summer of 2015.
Filming is yet to get underway on the movie, but Johansson says it is smart with the plot and characters moving forward.
Speaking to Parade the actress said: "Oh boy! Well, we can expect the Avengers. Joss, again, is back, wrote the script, and is directing. I think the script is dark and it's dry, it's got this amazing one-liner, glass-cutting sense of humour.
"Obviously the script is very cerebral. It doesn't lose that exciting comic book aspect that people enjoyed in the first film, but it's smart and it feels like the next instalment.
"It doesn't feel like a rehashing, it feels like these characters are moving forward, plotlines are moving forward."
The movie will see Joss Whedon back in the director's chair, while Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo are all set to return.
There are some new faces to watch out for with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and James Spader all on board.
As for Johansson, she will be back as Black Widow later this year in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is released 1st May 2015.
