Saoirse Ronan has revealed that she has auditioned for Star Wars VII.
Rumours have been swirling for several weeks that the Ronan has been linked to a role in the J.J. Abrams directed movie.
And now she has hinted to Sky News that she has indeed had an audition; however she was unable to reveal which role she may play.
Ronan is not the only name that has been linked to the new Star Wars film as Benedict Cumberbatch and Simon Pegg have also been names associated with the new film.
Ever since the new film was announced it has been suggest that Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will reprise the roles of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia - that has not been confirmed.
As for Ronan we will be seeing her back on the big screen this week with How I Live Now, an adaptation of the Meg Rosoff novel of the same name.
The movie will see the actress work with Kevin Macdonald for the first time, as he returns to the director's chair.
Ronan has also completed work on The Grand Budapest Hotel and How To Catch A Monster.
The new Star Wars film will be shot in England next year and hit cinemas in May 2015.
