Sam Mendes paid tribute to Daniel Craig last night as Skyfall picked up Best British Film at the Baftas.
The director and the rest of the Skyfall team were celebrating early as it was one of the first awards to be handed out.
And while Daniel Craig was not present at the ceremony last night Mendes took time out to pay tribute to the actor.
"I want to say thank the person around who we built this movie and without whom this movie could not have happened, and that is Daniel Craig."
Skyfall was the favourite for the award but it has to see off tough competition from Les Miserables, Anna Karenina, Seven Psychopaths and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
The film also picked up Best Original Music later in the show.
Skyfall has been a huge success and become the first Bond film to gross in excess of $1 billion at the global box office.
