Sally Hawkins is the latest name to be added to the Godzilla remake cast list.
The British actress has starred in the likes of Great Expectations, Submarine and Made in Dagenham in recent years and Deadline have reported that she has bagged the film lead role in the blockbuster.
The movie sees Gareth Edwards back in the director's chair for the first time since he enjoyed huge acclaim with Monsters.
Hawkins is set to join a fantastic cast as Aaron Taylor Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen and David Strathairn are all also on board.
We last saw Godzilla on the big screen back in 1998 when Roland Emmerich directed and Matthew Broderick starred.
As for Hawkins she has completed work on Almost Christmas and Blue Jasmine - the latter being Woody Allen's latest film - and we will be seeing those movies released later this year.
Godzilla will be released next year.
