Ryan Reynolds has revealed his desire to be part of an X-Force movie, calling it a 'priority' for him.

Reynolds is set to reprise the role of Wade Wilson in the first standalone Deadpool movie, which will feature other characters from the X-Men universe.

And it looks like we are going to be seeing Reynolds take on the role of Deadpool as this character will, almost certainly, land a sequel or two.

But the actor has revealed that he would love to be part of an ensemble movie and bring X-Force to the big screen for the first time.

Speaking to German outlet Filmstarts, the actor said: "There's so much material to mine in just the X-Men universe...

In the future, if we're doing a bunch more Deadpool movies, we're really going to explore the X-Men a lot. We'll see. And maybe X-Force - X-Force is my priority. I really want to get that in."

Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Ajax are just some of the other characters that we are going to see make an appearance in Deadpool as Reynolds teams up with Stefan Kapicic, Brianna Hildebrand, and Ed Skrein.

This is not the first time that we have heard the words X-Force and movie together in the same sentence; Jeff Wadlow was believed to be writing a script for the project a couple of years ago.

However, it could be a film that we see hit the big screen a little quicker if it is a project that an actor like Reynolds wants to get involved in... I guess we are just going to have to watch this space.

The X-Men franchise is set to return this year with X-Men: Apocalypse, the first film since Days of Future Past, which will see Bryan Singer back in the director's chair. There's also a third solo Wolverine film and a Gambit film in the pipeline.

Deadpool is released 12th February.
