Ryan Reynolds has opened up about Deadpool and says that they will 'get to make the movie we want to make.'
Deadpool is a film that has been in the pipeline for many years, but Reynolds says that he has faith in the people who are working on the project with him.
Speaking to MTV, the actor said: "It's been a long time, but it's happened in the right way and that's all that matters. We don't have the kind of money that most superhero movies do, but that's great, actually. Necessity is the mother of invention, and that's why we get to make the movie we want to make.
"You gotta have faith in the people you're working with, and have faith in the prep, and that's all I'm doing. On this one, the prep's been 11 years. You'd like to think you're putting your best foot forward, but we'll see."
The movie will see Reynolds return to the role of Wade Wilson - a character he played for the first time in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, while Tim Miller is in the director's chair. This will be the feature film directorial debut for Miller, as he make his transition from shorts for the first time.
The movie was given some momentum when test footage for the film was leaked online and received some positive feedback. However, Reynolds reveals that he was not the one who did the leaking to push the project forward.
He continued: "I would have FOX's lawyers so far up my ass they could smell Wade Wilson's feet. No, no, no I didn't leak it. But I would have. Looking back now, in a heartbeat. I should go home and scan the old hard drive and see what I've got in there."
Deadpool is scheduled for a 12th February 2016 release. However, before we see Reynolds in Deadpool he has completed work on The Voices, Woman In Gold, Selfless, and Criminal.
