Anthony and Joe Russo have described Anna Kendrick as 'perfect' for the role of Squirrel Girl.
Squirrel Girl is one of the most obscure Marvel comic books but earlier this month Kendrick herself believed that she would be great for the role of Doreen Green.
While there are no confirmed plans for a Squirrel Girl movie, it could be something that could happen a little further down the line as Marvel filed for a trademark two years ago.
And directors Anthony and Joe Russo have thrown their support behind the actress. Speaking to Yahoo Movies, Anthony Russo said: "It would be perfect casting, and we're huge Anna Kendrick fans."
I guess we are going to have to wait and see if this project goes ahead and if Kendrick lands the role.
As for the Russo brothers, they are currently working on Avengers: Infinity War as they take over the Avengers helm for the first time.
It has been a hugely successful year for the Russo's already, with Captain America: Civil War enjoying critical success and grossing over $1 billion at the box office.
Civil War was the second Marvel film for the filmmaking siblings and came two years after the huge success of Captain America: The Winter Solider.
Filming is set to get underway on the Avengers double bill at the beginning of next year but the cast list has yet to be announced.
It is going to be an exciting couple of year for MCU fans with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok will be released in 2017.
We are also going to see three films released in 2019 as Black Panther, The Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man And The Wasp will all light up the big screen.
