The Royal Albert Hall is to host a special screening of 'E.T the Extra-Terrestrial' featuring a full live orchestra playing the original score.
The Steven Spielberg-directed movie is among the most iconic sci-fi films of all time and on December 28 and 29, 2016, the Royal Albert Hall will stage a spectacular screening.
Lucy Noble, the Director of Events at the Royal Albert Hall, said: "This iconic film is one of Steven Spielberg's classics. At the heart of this film is of course John Williams's Academy Award-winning score.
"This unique event will bring the music centre-stage, quite literally, as it is performed live and in full by an orchestra and choir.
"By bringing together a film classic and renowned orchestra, we hope to bring the magic of classical music to new audiences.
"This will truly be an otherworldly experience seeing E.T as it has never been seen - or heard - before. So, rather than make like E.T. and 'go home', head for the Royal Albert Hall next December."
The Royal Albert Hall's 'E.T the Extra-Terrestrial' screening will become the latest iconic movie to have received the live score treatment, following 'Breakfast at Tiffany's Live' and 'Back to the Future'.
