Robert Redford is believed to be in talks for a role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the actor is apparently close to signing a deal to appear in the new Marvel movie.
While details on the character are a little sketchy it is reported that he will play a member of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Production on the second stand alone Captain America movie is set to get underway this year as it is scheduled for a 2014 release date.
