Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson has dropped out of upcoming film project Mission: Blacklist.

Pattinson was set to play military investigator Eric Maddox in the film, which focuses on the search for Saddam Hussein.

However, The Wrap has reported that Pattinson has been forced to drop out of the movie due to a scheduling conflict.

We haven't seen Pattinson on the big screen since The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 back in 2012, but he has a host of exciting projects on the horizon.

Maps to the Stars - which sees him reunite with director David Cronenberg - and The Rover will both be released this year.

The Rover is set to be another gritty Australian drama from director David Michôd, and also starring Guy Pearce.

Pattinson has also been filming his latest movie Life: which chronicles the friendship between photographer Dennis Stock and James Dean.

Pattinson will take on the role of Stock in the film, while Dane DeHaan will play the iconic actor.
