Robert Downey Jr may be set to reprise the role of Tony Stark in Captain America 3.
Captain America 3 is set to hit the big screen in 2016 and Variety have reported that Downey Jr is in negotiations to star in the film.
This will mark the first time that we have seen Downey Jr appear in the Captain America franchise and will be the third Marvel film that Downey Jr and Chris Evans will work on together.
It is believed that Iron Man and Captain America are set to go head to head over the Superhero Registration Act. Stark is all for superheros being forced to reveal their identities, Rodgers less so.
Captain America 3 is one of the few confirmed Marvel films over the next few years, and comes after the huge success of Captain America: The Winter Soldier earlier this year.
The movie will see Anthony and Joe Russo back in the director's chair while Jeremy Renner has also been linked to a role in the film.
However, all this will come after Downey Jr and Evans reunite next year in Avengers: Age of Ultron - which is already one of the most anticipated films of 2015.
Since the success of Iron Man 3, Downey Jr's Marvel future has been a little uncertain, but it does look like he will be sticking around for a while.
Filming on Captain America 3 is expected to get underway early next year.
