Rosamund Pike is one of this country's best actresses and she is set to return to the big screen later this month in another terrific role.
Pike sent chills down the spines of cinema goers with Gone Girl - for which she picked up a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her work - and this is set to be another interesting character for her to get her teeth into.
The brand new trailer for the movie has arrived and we have it for you to take a look it - it really does like Return to Sender will be an edge of your seat and thrilling watch:
Return to Sender will see Fouad Mikati return to the director's chair for the first time since he made his debut with Operation: Endgame back in 2010.
Pike will take on the film's central role and is joined on the cast list by Rumer Willis, Nick Nolte, Shiloh Fernandez, and Scout Taylor-Compton.
Pike stars as a small town nurse who gets brutally attacked and raped in her own home by a mysterious man (Fernandez). Following his arrest, she starts to write to him but the letters all get returned unopened. Determined to confront him she then starts to regularly visit him in prison and seemingly befriends him, against her father's (Nolte) express wishes.
Unable to understand his daughters intentions he fears for her safety come the time her assailant is released... but has he underestimated her strength and resolve.
Return to Sender looks set to be one of the May movies not to miss and it is always great to see Pike back on the big screen.
Return To Sender is released 22nd May
