Resident Evil has been one of the most successful big screen video game adaptation series of modern times, and despite not always doing well critically it has managed to tell an entire, fully fleshed out story through five movies to-date and one final sixth chapter, which drops in under a months’ time.

Ruby Rose joins the movie franchise in the final flick as Abigail, ‘The Mechanic’ who creates “a lot of really cool weapons” in a bid to take on the undead hordes which threaten the existence of mankind. Whilst not much is known about how the story will conclude in The Final Chapter, an early synopsis for the flick does provide a little insight.
It reads: “Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.”
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter comes to theaters in the US on January 27 and debuts in British cinemas on February 3.
