Ray Winstone says filming 'Noah' made him question his beliefs.
Ray Winstone admits he questioned his own religion and beliefs after filming his role in the biblical epic 'Noah'The 57-year-old actor - who starred opposite Russell Crowe in the biblical epic - admits playing Tubal-cain in the movie made him think more about his own religion as well as contemplating his own mortality.
Speaking to Loaded magazine, he said: "Of course 'Noah' made me think of that [religion]. If you're doing your job properly and you get in there and you really buy into the film, of course you question it because it's an education, you know?"
However, Winstone doesn't like to define himself with a religious group but insists he does have some sort of belief otherwise he wouldn't have strength to get up every day and determination to reach for his goals.
He explained: "I wouldn't call myself a Christian - I wouldn't put a name to what I am.
"I'm not calling myself a Christian or a Muslim or a Jew - that's what causes wars. [But] of course I believe in something. There wouldn't be much point in getting out of bed in the morning if I didn't believe in anything, d'you know what I mean?
"You have to have a belief, and whatever that is - you've got to have some sort of soul.
