Sylvester Stallone will not fight ISIS in a new 'Rambo' movie.
Stallone is set to reprise his role as Vietnam War veteran John Rambo for a fifth time in the upcoming film - tentatively titled 'Rambo V: Last Blood' - although a representative for the actor has denied reports the character will battle the Islamic State in Syria after rumours the actor had announced the news at Comic-Con in San Diego.
His rep told Rolling Stone online: "Sylvester Stallone did not attend Comic-Con 2015, and consequently there was no official remark from him regarding Rambo made there at the event.
"This is not an accurate report."
In several reports, the 69-year-old actor was quoted as saying he had teams searching for filming locations in the Middle East for the movie, which will be a follow-up to 2008's 'Rambo'.
He reportedly said: "We have teams scouting Iraq and parts of Syria where ISIS have their greatest strongholds.
"We're working with the locals there to help deliver the most intense and realistic Rambo movie experience ever."
Although the quotes have been dismissed as false, the star confirmed his involvement in the film - which will reportedly see him take on the Mexican cartel - in December, when he announced he would be shooting it before crime biopic 'Scarpa'.
He tweeted: "Doing Scarpa based on Gangster Greg Scarpa after LAST BLOOD RAMBO (sic)."
