Rachel Weisz has described director Paolo Sorrentino as a 'master filmmaker.'
Weisz teams up with director and writer Sorrentino for the first time with Youth, which screened at the BFI London Film Festival earlier this week.
Weisz was on the red carpet in London to help promote the film alongside co-star Paul Dano, Michael Caine and Harvey Keitel.
Speaking on the red carpet in London, the actress heaped praise on Sorrentino. She said: "He is a real master filmmaker. The film ended up being nothing like I imagined it would be because his imagination is so unique. He is a great great storyteller."
Youth will be the first big screen outing for 2016 for Weisz and will be her first movie since The Lobster, which has been released in the UK this weekend.
Youth has been winning over critics and audiences since it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year - it has since gone on to play at the Toronto International Film Festival before becoming a must-see movie in London.
2016 is going to be a busy year for the actress with The Light Between Oceans on the horizon as well as movies directed by Joshua Marston and Donald Crowhurst.
Youth is released 29th January 2016.
