Rachel McAdams is believed to be in talks to replace Reese Witherspoon in new sci-fi drama Passengers.
Witherspoon has had to drop out of the film due to scheduling conflicts, and now it looks like McAdams is set to get on board.
Keanu Reeves is already set to star in the film, while Brian Kirk will be in the director's chair for the film.
Passengers takes place aboard a spacecraft transporting thousands of people to a distant planet. They are placed into artificial hibernation but due to a malfunction in one of the sleep chambers, a lone passenger [Reeves] wakes up 90 years early.
Facing the prospect of life alone he decides to wake up another passenger - the role McAdams would take - and a romance buds.
About Time was the last time that we saw McAdams on the big screen, but she has had a very busy year filming other projects.
She has already finished working on A Most Wanted Man: which sees her work with Robin Wright, Philip Seymour Hoffman and director Anton Corbijn.
She is currently working on a new film from Cameron Crowe and Every Thing Will Be Fine, which will see her team up with James Franco.
