Could we be seeing Rachel McAdams step into the Marvel world for the first time? There is a chance that we are going to be seeing her in Doctor Strange?
Heroic Hollywood has reported that McAdams has been offered the lead female role in the already highly anticipated Marvel film, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch.
McAdams would be the final piece in the casting puzzle as Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Tilda Swinton are already on board. Cumberbatch has been in the title role for some time, while Ejiofor and Swinton have recently been announced as Baron Mordo and Ancient One.
However, it has not yet been revealed which leading female character we are going to see make an appearance. Sorceress Clea is perhaps one of the obvious choices but we are going to have to wait and see.
Doctor Strange is set to be the second Phase 3 film to hit the big screen and will be one of two Marvel films to be released in 2016 - the is Captain America: Civil War.
Filming is set to get underway in the autumn and will see Scott Derrickson back in the director's chair. Derrickson has brought us movies such as The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Sinister during his career and this will be his first film since Deliver Us From Evil.
It has already been a busy year for MacAdams with Aloha having his the big screen - it is coming to the UK in September - and Southpaw due later this month.
The actress has also made the leap to the small screen with the role of Detective Ani Bezzerides with the second season of crime drama True Detectives.
