Quentin Tarantino says there's a 'possibility' that a third Kill Bill film may be made.

It was back in 2003 when Kill Bill: Vol 1 hit the big screen, which saw Tarantino reunite with Pulp Fiction actress Uma Thurman.

A year later, Kill Bill: Vol 2 hit the big screen and both movies were a big success for the director and the actress. Over a decade on, and it seems that Tarantino has not totally given up on the idea of a third film in this action franchise.

Speaking to What the Flick? the director talked about the possibility of a third Kill Bill film, saying: "There definitely is a possibility... stop short of saying a probability. But there could be. For one reason in particular''' Uma and me would have a really good time working together again.

"I put the character of Beatrix Kiddo through a lot and I wanted [Kiddo] to have this much time for peace."

The Bride is widely regarded as one of the best female action characters of all time and it was a terrific - and rather iconic - role for Thurman - who was just terrific in both movies.

Tarantino will be back in the director's chair in the New Year with his latest film The Hateful Eight - a film that looked like it may never be made after the script was leaked online.

As well as being in the director's chair, Tarantino has also penned the screenplay and it is his first directorial outing since the success of Django Unchained - which saw him win the Best Original Screenplay Oscar.

Tarantino has assembled another terrific cast list as Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kurt Russell, Walton Goggins, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Demian Bichir, and Channing Tatum are all on board - it is one of the best ensemble cast lists of early 2016.

The movie is already being tipped as another potential Oscar contender for Tarantino and it is always exciting when the maverick filmmaker is in the Academy Award mix.

The Hateful Eight is released 8th January 2016.
