Prometheus 2 is set to hit the big screen 4th March 2016.
Last week 20th Century Fox revealed that a mystery Ridley Scott film would be hitting the big screen on that date... now The Wrap have revealed that is will be the Prometheus sequel.
Ridley Scott will be back in the director's chair to helm the sci-fi project, while Michael Green has been brought on board to pen the screenplay.
Jack Paglen has wrote a draft of the screenplay, but now Green is set to rewrite that.
This is the second Scott film that Green has worked on, having been brought on board to pen the script for a new Blade Runner film.
As for the cast, nothing official has yet been announced, but Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender could well return.
Scott has already wrapped on one movie this year, having completed work on Exodus with Christian Bale.
Filming on Prometheus could get underway as early as this autumn.
It has not yet been announced if the 4th March 2016 release date, will also be for the UK.
