James Corden leads the way in the upcoming Peter Rabbit movie, based on the characters from the Beatrix Potter books and putting a new spin on the world that they all come from. Corden voices the titular character, starring alongside the likes of Domhnall Gleeson, Sam Neill, Daisy Ridley, Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie, and now a gorgeous new poster for the film has been revealed, claiming that we’re all “born to be wild”. You can check it out below, as well as a new featurette introducing the world to this new version of Peter Rabbit:
The film will see the mischievous hero ramp up his rivalry with Mr. McGregor (Gleeson) to a whole other level, as the two battle for the love and affections of the warm-hearted lover of animals who’s now living next door (Byrne).
With a vegetable garden on the line, the pair will take their confrontations to the Lake District and London, in a far-reaching story that we imagine won’t hold back in bringing hilarity to the big screen.
Though the first trailer for the film is one that didn’t receive the best reception from the public, the teasers that have been released since have heralded a much better reaction. The film may not look like it’s going to be one that really honours Potter’s characters in the way in which they first made an impact, in children’s books, but a little bit of reinvention never did anybody any harm.
Will Glick directs and producers the film, having written the screenplay alongside Rob Lieber. Zareh Nalbandian also serves as producer, with Dominic Lewis providing the music and Peter Menzies Jr. working on cinematography.
Peter Rabbit comes to cinemas across the UK on March 16, 2018 from Sony Pictures.
