Penelope Cruz is believed to be in talks to star in Bond 24.
Cruz looks set to follow in the footsteps of husband Javier Bardem and join the action franchise as the latest Bond girl.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Bond bosses have been chasing her [Cruz] since Daniel became 007 in 2006. But schedules and her pregnancies meant it never materialised."
However, the studio are remaining tight lipped on the rumour. The source added: "At this stage no one at Sony will confirm it."
The Oscar winning actress is believed to be a favourite of Sam Mendes, who is returning to the director's chair for a second consecutive film.
Mendes helmed Skyfall to the billion dollar success back in 2012, and Bond 24 is already one of the most anticipated films of 2015.
Daniel Craig is set to reprise the role of 007: which will be his fourth Bond film.
Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris are also expected to reprise the role of Mallory, Q and Miss Moneypenny.
Filming looks set to get underway in the autumn for the 23rd October, 2015 release date.
