Snoopy and Charlie Brown are two favourite comic and television characters for a generation of children, and now they are going to be heading to the big screen in their very own movie.
Inspired by Charles Schulz's timeless comic strip the Snoopy and Charlie Brown adventure is bigger than ever before as Steve Martino takes over the director's chair in what is the third feature film of his directing career.
Martino is no stranger to the animation genre with the likes of Horton Hears a Who!! And Ice Age: Continental Drift under his belt, and Peanuts is set to be another huge project for the director.
Twentieth Century Fox have released the first trailer for the film, and we have it for you to take a look at:
Filming is still underway on the movie and we are going to have to wait until December 2015 until it finally hits the big screen.
For those who are sceptical about the film be reassured that Schultz's sons Bryan and Craig have had a hand in penning the screenplay and will also produce the film - I think we are going to get a movie that is loyal to the characters that Charles created all of those year ago.
However, little is currently known about the plot or the actors who are on board to bring the characters to life. But the first trailer was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to seeing more footage over the next year.
