Oz The Great And Powerful has stormed to the top of the U.S. box office taking $80.2 million in an impressive opening weekend.
The movie sees Sam Raimi return to the director's chair in what is a prequel to the popular Wizard of Oz story.
James Franco teams up with Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz and together they comfortably toppled Jack the Giant Slayer from the top of the box office.

Dead Man Down is the new film from Colin Farrell and it was the final new entry inside the top ten this week at number four.
Snitch was down a single place this week at number five while comedy 21 and Over fell three to six.
There was no move at seven for romance film Safe Haven while Silver Linings Playbook also stayed put at eight.
Escape From Planet Earth was down three at nine while The Last Exorcism Part II was this week's biggest faller as it was down five places at ten.
