Though the Oscars 2017 wasn’t a night without its problems (will the event EVER live down that historic Best Picture gaffe?), at its core it was an incredible celebration of talent across the movie industry, celebrating the best in the business and handing out some of the world’s most coveted awards.

Viola Davis won her first Oscar

Viola Davis, Moonlight and La La Land were some of the night’s biggest winners, as shocks and surprises in some categories stole headlines and even critically panned DC movie Suicide Squad picked up a gong.
