The 39-year-old actor - who plays Poe Dameron in the money-spinning sci-fi movies - has revealed he plans to take a year-long hiatus from the movie industry once he's shot his scenes for the JJ Abrams-directed film, which is due out in 2019.

He explained: "I haven't really stopped for 10 years. I'm just going to be with family and taking a bit of a rest."

Despite this, Oscar - who previously starred in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' and 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' - revealed there's been a noticeably more relaxed feel on the set of the latest movie.

The Hollywood star also admitted to relishing the experience of working with JJ.

He told IndieWire: "The way they've been shooting it right now is looser than it's been for the last two times.

"It does feel like a relief to get on set and feel like, 'Oh, we can try things.' It's a testament to J.J. coming back and feeling confident. There's less pressure for it to be right. We just want to make a good movie and have a really good time while doing it."

Oscar revealed he's felt under less pressure while filming the latest 'Star Wars' movie.

He said: "Often, you do feel like you've got to find your way to make something more alive, but this time, it's been the opposite. There's no need to smuggle anything in there."
