Oscar Isaac says he had to look more 'schlumpy' for his role in Inside Llewyn Davis.
Isaac is back on the big screen in the new year to lead an all star cast in the Joel and Ethan Coen directed movie.
Inside Llewyn Davis will see Isaac take on the title role as he teams up with the Oscar winning directors for the first time.
Speaking at a Peggy Siegal lunch at New York's 21 Club the actor said: "I definitely had to look a little more schlumpy, someone that's not taking care of himself."
Inside Llewyn Davis is set to be one of the biggest roles of Isaac's career as he stars alongside Carey Mulligan, John Goodman and Justin Timberlake.
The movie has already been tipped as an potential Oscar contender and enjoyed awards success earlier this week at the Gotham Awards; it scooped Best Picture.
Inside Llewyn Davis is just one of the movies that we will be seeing Isaac in next year, as he has also completed work on In Secret, The Two Faces of January and Ex-Machina.
Inside Llewyn Davis is released 24th January 2014.
