Oscar Isaac has revealed that he is excited at the prospect of starting work on Star Wars: Episode VII.
Isaac - who grabbed everyone's attention earlier this year for his performance in Inside LLewyn Davis - has landed a role in the film, it was announced last week.
And it seems that it is a dream come true for the actor, as Star Wars has been a big part of his family.
Speaking to the Culture section of The Sunday Times, the actor said: "I could not be more excited to be a part of the Star Wars saga. It still seems hard to believe.
"Star Wars is a huge part of my family. Collecting toys, throwing themed parties. We had a big one for Return Of The Jedi. I came as a gonk droid."
Isaac has been cast alongside Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and John Boyega: Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford & Mark Hamill will also be reprising their roles.
Isaac is back on the big screen this week with The Two Faces of January: a movie that sees him star alongside Viggo Mortensen and Kirsten Dunst.
Isaac has also completed work on Mojave, A Most Violent Year and Ex Machina.
Star Wars: Episode VII is released 18th December 2015.
