Oscar Isaac believes that his new movie Inside Llewyn Davis is the breakthrough film that he has been waiting for.
The movie sees the actor team up with directors Joel and Ethan Coen for the first time while Carey Mulligan is also on the cast list.
While we have seen Isaac in the likes of Drive and Robin Hood over the years the actor believes that he has been preparing his whole career for a role like this.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "I finally got the shot," Oscar said. "And I got it in this context, which is more than I honestly could have ever imagined for myself.
"I said: I have to get a shot at this movie because I feel like my 33 years of life have been preparing me to do something like this."
Inside Llewyn Davis premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this week and will battle it out to win the prestigious Palme d'Or.
As for Isaac we are going to be seeing plenty of him as he has completed work on The Two Faces of January and Therese and has a string of new projects in the pipeline.
Inside Llewyn Davis is released 24th January.
