Olga Kurylenko has been cast as the lead in upcoming supernatural horror movie 'Mara'.
The 33-year-old actress - who starred in James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace' - is set to play criminal psychologist Kate Fuller in the movie with her character investigating the murder of a man seemingly strangled in his sleep by his wife.
The character will uncover a mystery surrounding an ancient demon, who kills people in their sleep, and must save herself and the dead man's young daughter from becoming the next victims.
Clive Tonge is directing in his feature debut and the movie looks at the mythology and true phenomena of sleep paralysis aka sudden unexpected nocturnal death syndrome.
Solution's Myles Nestel is producing with Room 101′s micro-budget horror guru Steven Schneider - whose past credits include 'Paranormal Activity' and 'Insidious' - and Mann Made Films' Scott Mann and James Edward Barker.
Steven told Comingsoon.net: "Synchronicity and Mann Made Films are the perfect combination for 'Mara' - innovative, vigorous and exciting companies in the independent sector.
"Clive is a phenomenal talent and horror fans will embrace him as widely as they did James Wan and, with Olga starring, we're onto another hit franchise."
