Noomi Rapace has landed a role in Brilliance alongside Will Smith.
Brilliance is a big screen adaptation of the novel of the same name by Marcus Sarkey, and will mark the first time that Rapace and Smith have worked together.
The movie is set in a world where a small minority of the population is born as 'brilliants', people who are gifted with special powers, and a federal agent is tasked with tracking down a terrorist who intends to start civil war.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rapace is set to be a 'brilliant' who is identified as a terrorist by the government.
Smith is on board the project and will play a 'brilliant' agent.
Julius Onah is in the director's chair for the film, while Joe Roth, Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will produce.
Dead Man Down was the last time that we saw Rapace on the big screen, but she has a couple of projects in the pipeline this year.
She has completed work on The Drop and Child 44: both films see her star alongside Tom Hardy.
A second Prometheus film is in the pipeline, in which she is expected to reprise the role of Elizabeth Shaw alongside Michael Fassbender.
No release date for Brilliance has yet been announced.
