Noomi Rapace has revealed that she was keen to reunite with director Niel Arden Oplev.
Rapace and Oplev worked together on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and they have searched for a project that they could work on ever since.
Speaking to Total Film the actress said: I’ve been kind of hoping, wanting, asking him when we would work together again after TGWTDT; and he was like, ‘We’ll find something, but it needs to be something really good’.
"Then when they sent me this one, I saw in the email that he was attached to it. I called him and was like, ‘Are you really attached?’ He said, ‘Yeah, what do you think?’ and I said I really liked it because I love it when I read a script and I can’t see where it’s going.
"This story takes so many different turns and twists; it’s almost like a crazy ride that you have to jump on."
Rapace teams up with Colin Farrell, Terrence Howard and Dominic Cooper for Dead Man Down while J.H. Wyman has penned the screenplay.
It is going to be a busy filming year for Rapace as she is currently working on Animal Rescue with Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini.
She has also been linked to a movie about Bosse Hogberg and Anita Lindblom while thriller Child 44 is also in the pipeline.
Dead Man Down is released 3rd May.
