Ryan Reynolds says he will not be playing any other superheroes after Deadpool... unless it is a sequel to the highly anticipated movie.
Deadpool is the second time that we have seen Reynolds take on the role of a major superhero... it is already one of the most anticipated movies in this genre for 2016.
We had previously seen Reynolds in the DC Comic universe as Green Lantern, however, we will not be seeing him tackle any more characters like this.
Speaking to The Huffington Post, the actor said: "We all want to be Batman alone at home in our specifically-sewn Bat pajammies, but no, I have no desire to play any other superheroes after this.
"Hopefully we'll get to do Deadpool again. Given the fact that it's rated R, the fans have to show their support for it, and they have to come out and make it worthwhile for the studio to make another one, but that's it for me. I've punched that superhero card a few times now, and that's enough."
Reynolds has been the driving force to getting the Deadpool movie to the big screen and the film was one of the major talking points at this year's Comic Con in San Diego.
The trailer was met so well by the audience at the Fox Comic Con panel that it was shown a second time.
Deadpool is set to see Tim Miller make his feature film directorial debut, while Reynolds is joined on the cast list by Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller and Gina Carano.
As for Reynolds, he will be back on the big screen in the UK this week in Self/Less, which sees him star alongside Ben Kingsley.
Deadpool is released 5th February 2016.
