Helen Mirren has revealed that we will not be seeing her behind the wheel of a car in Fast & Furious 8.

Mirren is one of the big new additions to the cast list, which will see her star alongside franchise favourites Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson for the first time.
Filming on Fast 8 is under way but we are yet to learn the name of Mirren's character and where she fits into the latest instalment.
Speaking to EW about her role in the film, Mirren said: "I wanted to be driving, but unfortunately, I'm not. Maybe that will come in the future, in Fast and Furious 12.
"I'm probably one of the few people on the set who know how to drive a gear shift car. I doubt the Rock knows. But I do. I know how to double-declutch."
Mirren landed a role in the film just months after she revealed, in an interview with Yahoo! Movies that she would love to appear in the franchise.
Mirren is not the only new addition to the Fast 8 cast list, as fellow Oscar-winner Charlize Theron is also on board. Theron is set to play the film's villain Cipher.
There are plenty of familiar faces to watch out for as Diesel and Johnson are joined by Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Nathalie Emmanuel, who was introduced in the role of Ramsey in the previous film.
Fast & Furious 8 will be released two years after the billion dollar success of the seventh instalment.
Mirren has already had a busy and successful year with Eye in the Sky and Trumbo under her belt. She has also completed work on Collateral Beauty, which sees her star alongside Will Smith, Kate Winslet, and Keira Knightley.
Fast & Furious 8 is released 14th April 2017.
