Michael B. Jordan says there will be no ‘cheesy superhero outfits’ in the upcoming reboot of The Fantastic Four.
Jordan is set to take on the role of Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch in the new film, and has hinted that the costumes have a modern feel to them this time around.
Speaking to Wonderwall, the actor said: "How did I feel about wearing spandex? The costume part wasn't that bad.
"I think we did a really good job at making it modern, new, fresh without going to the cheesy superhero outfits. We didn't take the easy way out at all. So I didn't mind it so much."
This is the first time that we have seen The Fantastic Four on the big screen since Rise of the Silver Surfer back in 2007, and we have a new cast and director this time around.
Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell are also on board as Reed Richards, Sue Storm and Ben Grimm - The Thing - while Josh Trank is in the director’s chair.
Trank made his feature film directorial debut back in 2012 with Chronicle; this is his first film since that great debut. This is also the second time that Trank has teamed up with Jordan, who took on the role of Steve in Chronicle.
As for Jordan, it has been a busy 2014 with roles in That Awkward Moment and Fruitvale Station as he continues to make a name for himself.
The Fantastic Four is his first step into the big budget blockbuster and this is the biggest film and role of his career so far. He has also been linked to a role in the upcoming Creed, which is a spin off from the popular and successful Rocky franchise.
The Fantastic Four is released 7th August 2015.
