Nicole Kidman seems undaunted by the poor reaction to Grace of Monaco, saying most of her films cause controversy.
Kidman was on the red carpet earlier this week, as Grace of Monaco - in which she plays Grace Kelly - opened the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
However, the film has been panned by a wave of negative reviews since the screening.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the actress said: "Most films I do ruffle feathers. I don't think I've ever done a film that hasn't had some sort of controversy, that just seems to be where I'm at.
"And even when I think I'm doing something safe, it isn't."
The movie follows the story of Kelly, as she goes from Hollywood star to royalty, and sees Oliver Dahan in the director's chair.
Grace of Monaco is the second film of the year for Kidman, after she starred in The Railway Man with Colin Firth.
We are going to be seeing plenty of Kidman this year, as she has also completed work on Before I Go to Sleep, Queen of the Desert and Paddington.
Kidman is currently filming Strangerland with Hugo Weaving and Joseph Fiennes.
Grace of Monaco is released 6th June.
