From Oscar nominee director, Denis Villeneuve, comes a brand-new trailer for upcoming movie, Dune, set to release in just under two weeks’ time.
Dune has been on the radar for many movie-goers for months, and with the many trailers and an all-star cast, fans are right to be looking forward to this intense story adapted from the book of the same name by Frank Herbert.
The upcoming feature tells the tale of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), a brilliant and gifted young man, born into an incredible destiny that even he doesn’t fully understand.
To be sure his family and his people are kept safe, Paul must travel to the most dangerous, deadly planet in the universe.
As hostile forces erupt into conflict over the planet’s personal supply of the most precious resource in existence, something capable of unlocking the deepest potential within all of humanity, only those who can move past their fears will survive.
The new trailer, released only yesterday (October 7th, 2021), leans into even more of the incredible story within Dune, and showcases the beautiful, sandy world in which the narrative takes place.
The movie boasts an amazing, stellar cast, including Zendaya (The Greatest Showman), Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep), Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina), Josh Brolin (Avengers franchise), Stellan Skarsgård (Thor franchise), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Lady Bird), David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad), Chang Chen (The Soul), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Blooded), Charlotte Rampling (45 Years), with Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Javier Bardem (Eat Pray Love).
With the release of Dune not being too far away, fans are getting more excited every day to see this highly-anticipated movie hit cinemas. With such an incredible and extensive cast, as well as what appears to be a well-adapted narrative, it is no wonder this film is on everyone’s watch list.
As well as the trailer looking outstanding, the stills of Dune look equally brilliant. The bright beige and oranges lift the feature up and creates an exciting, alien-like atmosphere; similarly, the darker, grey colours also highlight the low points the characters may experience. The combination of the two colour palettes suggests a rollercoaster of a journey.
Dune will be in cinemas on October 21st, 2021.
