Directed by Christopher McQuarrie and of course led by the franchise’s most iconic actor, Tom Cruise, Mission: Impossible – Fallout is set to come to cinemas across the UK this July. This week, hype surrounding the release has been ramped up, and a slick new poster with Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt embodying it has been released. You can check it out below:

Starring alongside the likes of Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Wes Bentley and Frederick Schmidt, Cruise will see his character Hunt set out with his team to right the wrongs of a former mission that went wrong.

Racing against time all over again, the group will have to do everything in their power if they’re to be successful once more.

Not only dropping the poster this week, those working behind-the-scenes on Fallout released an extremely short, yet exciting six-second teaser clip, which you can watch below:

Cruise hasn’t had the easiest time during shooting of the sixth Mission: Impossible movie. Last August, he was filming stunts on the top of buildings when his ankle came crashing down against one of the towers he was jumping to. Breaking his ankle, filming had to be postponed and so, the original planned release date for Fallout was thrown back a few months.

When he did make a return to set however, Cruise admits (during an interview on The Graham Norton Show) that he enjoyed pranking his co-stars. He would run next to Cavill’s vehicle during filming for example and sing the original Superman theme song, poking fun at the fact Cavill plays the Man of Steel in the DC Extended Universe.

Whilst we don’t know too much about the plot we’ll see in Fallout other than it being to do with righting some wrongs, we imagine there’s going to some action-packed and exhilarating scenes ahead. Bring it on!

Mission: Impossible – Fallout comes to cinemas across the UK on July 26, 2018 from Paramount Pictures.
