Paddington is one of literature's most iconic characters, and he is coming to the big screen for the first time this November in new film Paddington.
Paddington is based on the books by Michael Bond, and sees Paul King in the director's chair while he and Hamish McColl has penned the screenplay.
The movie is going to be a mix of live action performances and CGI for what is going to be a real family treat this autumn.
We are all big fans of Paddington here at FemaleFirst, and we are excited to see how this classic literature character makes the transition onto the big screen.
A set of new images from the film have been released, and we have them for you to take a look at:
Ben Whishaw has taken over the voice of Paddington, after Colin Firth left the project earlier this year. The Oscar winning actor says that his voice was not suitable and stood down from the role.
Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, and Nicole Kidman make up a very exciting cast list.
Paddington follows the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British, who travels to London in search of a home.
Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realise that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kindly Brown family, who read the hand-written label around his neck (‘Please look after this bear. Thank you.’) and offer him a temporary haven.
It looks as though Paddington's luck has changed- that is, until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a certain museum taxidermist, with an old score to settle...
Paddington is released 23rd November.
