Maggie sees Schwarzenegger take on the horror genre as he teams up with Abigail Breslin and director Henry Hobson; this movie marks the feature film directorial debut for Hobson.
Maggie is a mix of drama, horror and thriller as it is a zombie movie but with a strong father and daughter story at its core. The film is part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, where it received its international premiere.
Breslin is one of the most exciting young actresses around and she takes on the title role, while Joel Richardson and Douglas M. Griffin complete the cast list.
A teenage girl in the Midwest becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies. During her transformation, her loving father stays by her side.
We haven't had too many good horror movies so far this year, but Maggie looks set to be one that is not to miss this July.
